I’m interested in the butt stock/shoulder rest, or whatever you wanna call it. I think democrats even call it the shoulder thing that goes up.

2437
AVG: 2458fps
Everything fed fine from the mag even the 129gr SSTs at 2.310" COL. I think I would choose the 129gr SST load for hunting, didn't notice too much difference in recoil. Fun little rifle to shoot.
All my primers have nice little dimples in them. I didn't see anything crazy going on with the brass, not that I rely on brass as a sign of excessive pressure, but I definitely still look at it. Even the Federal brass looks good.
If I loaded up the 107gr SM or TMK on 8208 XBR, I would have no problem reaching 2750fps from a 22" bolt gun.
Without even pushing a max load with the 107gr SMK, I'm getting 2626fps from a 17.6" barrel with 8208 XBR.
I noticed the author used H335, X-Terminator, 8208, and TAC. I would recommend trying LeveRevolution and CFE223 if he wants to see some speed.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

just skiming the article and considering they only tested 1 bullet and a handful of powders, basically ran a ladder test with each powder and averaged all the shots some of which went terrible..... that said every powder had a sub minute node so to say the 107 doesn't group seems like a broad sweeping statement, it would have been nice to see him shoot a known factory load as a benchmark i think considering the expense of equipment used in the article between the rifle chasis scope and mounts a box of hornady could certainly have went through the gun
i enjoyed that his synopsis seem to be you cant make grendel into a creedmore though that seems to be what he was going forPunctuation is for the weak....

I load 130 Accubonds in my 20" HB to 2.300-2.305 Coal and they still have room.
When I resize a case, I bump back .003-.004 from fired length. That was putting my AR rounds at 1.175 (a little longer now in my Barlitien). All of the Howas are at 1.145 max. Putting a resized case in that measures 1.160 will not let the bolt close.
So now I have to size for two different chambers, as I am not going to over work my AR brass.
EDIT - Numbers are off I think. I am out of town.
1.117 is my AR sized, fired is 1.121+. Howas measure 1.114 fired. Factory rounds are 1.109 +/- .001Last edited by Sticks; 02-24-2018, 09:52 AM.Sticks

LRRPF52, I am curious as to how you get chamber pressures.
