Haven't been on this forum since the old days of reading learning and purchasing. My first purchase was the Grendel. One year later...the Wulf! Ive taken deer out to 500 yards and groundhogs out to 540 yards with the Grendel. I am shooting NBT 120's on BLC2 powder...took awhile to find it, but it shoots great! My Wulf has taken deer out at 235 yards and groundhogs out to 140 yards. Extremely happy with those results shooting AA factory Ranier 334 HP. Thanks to everyone here I have learned enough to have purchased and put together these two fine rifles...and best of all, reloading for them. (Beowulf dies will be here Monday!)

I used CCI 450, virgin AA brass with TAC, 2520, and BL-C(2) set at an OAL of 2.245". After shooting several loads for each powder I determined that 31.5 of BL-C(2) was most accurate. Then I worked up loads from 31.0-31.9 grains...5 rounds each. After shooting a .334" group with the 31.3 grain load...my mind was obviously made up on what to mass produce. Chronied, it shoots H: 2435 L: 2428 SD: 2.6 ES: 7 AV: 2431. Almost forgot, neck tension is .287. As far as performance goes, the 500 yard deer kill was a double lung complete pass through with obvious evidence of good expansion and mass trauma indicating a good amount of shrapnel. I have all the faith in the world with this rifle and particular load...a great feeling!!!

I shot a rat once with a 450gr Flat nose cast bullet out of a 45-70 at 1500fps..... it proved to be a bit excessive.
