I heard back today. Steve actually had emailed me after my order because there was a glitch in the system that forced people to choose the black paint option and he wanted to ensure I wanted that. I think they might have just been busy contacting customers who placed orders during that time period.

Although he couldn't give an ETA, he was able to confirm I'm receiving the new barrel profile as opposed to the old. Still wondering what the differences are between the old and new?

I'm not sure of the difference exactly, but the old profiles were based off the profiles developed for the Beowulf, and tended to be heavier than necessary for the Grendel.

Glad you got the problem resolved. AA is small, and generally I recommend that you talk directly with someone there, instead of simply ordering on the Web and waiting. Ordering is ok, just follow up with a phone call to double check.

They are working hard to improve the Web experience and answer emails more promptly, but it is a work in progress.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”

I guess I'll be getting the new profile, also. Cool.

I sure hope so...wait is killing me...every time my phone bleeps an incoming email I get my hopes up it's a shipping confirmation .....of course then I'm disappointed ...again...Eddie Bower or Barnes and Noble offering me a great deal on something I've no interest in
