    DA7 adjustable gas block.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have built Three rifles using the SLR rifle works adjustable gas block. They so far have worked great like the Syrac gas block but a lot easier to adjust and less expensive. I think we have a winner with this gas block.

Yes, The three build's I did for my shooting buddies used 15" MI GEN 2 SS hand guards on mid length gas system 16" barrels.. The DA7 is 1.47 high and the Syrac is 1.430. I always set my gas block on then remove one screw and use the correct punch size to correctly mark to drill the dimple for the set screw, then I reinstall and remove the second screw and repeat the process. I use the Transfer punch set to correctly center the drill mark. None of the hand guards touched the gas block screws ",the closes part of the gas block to the hand guard." I was able to slide the SLR gas blocks on the barrels with the hand guards on the rifles with the set screws screwed in just enough to slide on the barrel under the hand guards. It is a close fit but I had no problems at all. Hope this help's.

You couldn't slide the h/g over the installed gas block?

Sorry, I confuse myself sometimes. I "could" slide the hand guard over the gas block. Before I attached the gas block to the barrel with dimples and red lock tite I put the hand guard on first and slid the SLR gas block on the barrel to see if there was enough room. I didn't want to attach the gas block to the barrels and not have the hand guards fit. This was the first time I had used the SLR gas blocks and wanted to be sure they fit. The hand guards on my rifles did not touch any part of the SLR gas blocks.
