Hornady suspending production on some bullets and ammo

    Link: http://forum.snipershide.com/snipers...pend-list.html

Didn't see Grendel ammo listed, but there are some 6.5 bullets on the list.

If you shoot other cartridges, you might be unpleasantly surprised at some of the listings.

Hornady is your friend, they are trying to let you know about tough decisions they have made and how it will effect your plans, so that you can have an alternate plan if necessary. Other bullet manufacturers are having to make the same tough decisions. The difference is that their distribution network is ignorant to the production plan and the result is you may be waiting on supplies that will never come and because you don't know that you wait, instead of enacting plan B.

Well put Bob, that is the best summary I have heard. Some people on other sites acted like the sky was falling. Manufacturer tells the truth, has plan, and people get mad. Tell me up front, luckily, the 5 bullets I shoot most are still in production.

hornady has been making and selling projos and ammo a lot longer than most of the complainers. Im sure they have a solid plan in place and are actually looking out for their customers the best they can in these times.

Yes, it seems a positive development allowing Hornady to focus on what is most needed.

                          WOW!

                          Um, WOW!!

That's an extensive list. It's that bad?

I'll tell the truth that I just haven't been buying loaded ammo lately, been trying to wait it out like I did four years ago.

                          Dang.

Depends. If the list is all stuff that is low in demand and doesn't sale then it's a smart move. Cut the crap that no one wants which allows for more production of what does sale thus larger profits.
