Range Day Lilja 319 Vs. AA 16"

Well there is a lot that went wrong and a little went right...I still have my health and all my fingers and toes....

Today I shot my chronograph and my laptop bag I was using to hold my ammo ....

I was being lazy and didn't want to readjust the chrony and tried to shoot through it anway....Apparently I hit it two times before I got it really good...And I didn't shoot it with the barrel I was trying to sight in after I put the scope on last night...

The Laptop bag I was previously using as a wrest to help with elevation was in front of me and when I went to shoot the lower target I clipped part of it. At least no one saw me make that shot

Sigh... Apparently its true anything down range can and will eventually be shot...

Anyway, after I got all the bad out of the way I actually got to do some shooting

(After shooting i found that my scope rings came loose on the 16" and the scope was sliding back until it couldn't go back any further)

All shots taken at 200 yards Prone

    Weather 55-68* F.
Wind 15-20MPH shooting strait into the wind and at times slightly quatering.

    I prepared 120 rounds

    Brass trimmed to 1.512
Primers - Lilja got CCI 450
    AA 16" got WSR

Adding some data only for the Lilja 319 18" barrel

All Shots below taken from 200 yards off of the tailgate from my truck using a sandbag.

Cross wind 15-20 MPH right to left occasionally swirling slightly into the shot.

                Temperature starting was 75* Fahrenheit

Velocity was taken using a Chrony F1 from 5 yards away.

                Brass trimmed to 1.512

I did this one just because it was in noslers loading data and said it was the most accurate so I loaded it up like that had. Only I loaded the length a bit longer for my chamber like the others from 28.1, 28.3, and 28.5

                          Observations.

At 28.3 gr. I started to notice slightly flattened primers, oddly at the time 28.5 gr only showed one slightly flattened primer only with the SST. Probably not an accurate measuring on my part. (May have spilled a bit out pouring into the case. I say that since the velocity was so low on two of them and i didn't have flattened primers on two of them.)

I think I will try and load more from 28.2 - 28.5 with .1 gr difference and see which one works out the best. Hopefully from a more sturdy rest on a less windy day.

Also, 26.1 gr. from the Nosler load data seemed to be pretty accurate only 200 FPS slower than close/near to max. I may use that as my nosler plinking fun round

It was requested that I fix up the picture and label them better. So there it is. Sorry for the confusion as prior it was all uploaded from my phone and not from my PC. Made it more of a pain than you can imagine doing it solely from a cell phone. That is the reason for me making a key/legend.
