    My First Grendel Build

Spent the last couple of months hunting down the parts. Put it together and my first 3-rounds were touching at 100 yards. Tweaked the cheap scope I put on it...and I was getting dime sized groups! She shoots very easy :-)

How do you like the Syrac gas block?
12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
              Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

I like it. I have a 5.56 with with a JP Enterprises adjustable gas block and I have the Syrac. What I like about the Syrac is that it has a built in "detent" on the adjustment screw and it adjusts from the front so you can put it under a full length rail. The JP doesn't have a detent and the adjustment screw is on the side. I had to put some blue locktite on the screw in order to get it NOT to move too easily. The JP has a rail on it for a flip up sight and that works best for my 5.56 build which has a wood furniture kit so there was no need for a low-profile GB. I like the Syrac for this "under the rail" application. It fit very tight on the barrel. I had to sand it some to get it to squeeze on there. I am confident its not going to move at all! Make sure you note whether the model Syrac GB is with or without the detent. They make both types.

VERY COOL! All black usually appeals to me less, but this one's a charmer. Diggin' the side charger...that's the way I think I'm goin. Old school guy. And thanks for the group pics...that's even more important! Now I'm getting an understanding of how accurate they can be. I hate it when I end up with a hot chick but her personality stinks.
