    An Old Noob

Just bought my first AR a few weeks ago, a .223 Wylde from Barnes Precision Machine, at one of the SGK gun shows here in Northern VA. Well, I went to another SGK show, just looking for another 1000rds of .223 ammo, and ended up ordering a Grendel from Performance Firearms, LLC (Nokesville, VA).

Firearm basics include a 24in Lilja fluted SS heavy barrel, CNC'd upper/lower, side charge mod, triangular forearm, and Magpull grip and PRS stock. I pick up the rifle this coming Saturday, so I'll post pics in the Gallery thread then.

Never reloaded before, was in the military and didn't have a home, and I really need to learn for my Weatherby .270 Mag and .45 GAP, so I'll be picking the brains of some of you as time goes by.

This looks like a great forum and hope to meet with some of you on the range.

    Cheers!

Scuba is from my passion for scuba diving, though it has waned in the past few years.
