archery season opened today, dusted two pigs

I shot down on the pink guy right being the ear and out between his front legs. It took out both lungs and heart.sprayed blood like a horror flick.

Great job! How did you do with deer?

    Whereabouts are you hunting?

Ah! You are several hours south. I thought you might be in north Texas.

Our bigger bucks went magically nocturnal about 1-2 weeks ago. I don't understand how they know.

I'm betting it has something to do with the fact that all of a sudden there are thousands of guys wandering around in the thicket scouting!

Deer are mythical creatures. Hunting and growing up in Ohio we saw that all the time. You see these huge animals all day/night and then just when the season starts they decided to only roam during the night time hours Reasons why the Beaty Buck up in Ohio was such big news and controversy. Look it up and it's story. I remember the guy from working with him on Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

They "clock" with the Autumnal Equinox - this year it was 22 Sept. After that date, days are shorter than the nights.
