Sneaky, if you ever have the time and interest, perhaps you would consider making a 6.5 version of the M80A1 projectile (right, below)? So we could see what it would look like, and how much it would weigh?
I'm talking just a mock-up, not test bullets for actual shooting.
Maybe use a Nosler E-tip, so it could have only one groove to simulate a crimping cannelure? Give it a boat tail as in the photo above, and reshape the ogive to secant, then drill out the nose to accept a steel tip with a long shank similar to that of the sectioned M855A1 bullet below.
What do you think? Can do? Or too much work?
