    Wolf steel case on a hog

    This is the exit wound from a 15 yard shot on a 95 pound boar. The exit is hole size is between .75 and 1 inch.

    Nice work. You didn't have to go looking for your spent case either I take it, he he. Where was the entrance? Any sign of impacting bone? Congrats either way.

        BTW - what barrel length was that shot from?

              It was about a close as possible to a broadside shot. The entry hole was just behind the lungs.

                  We were stalking along a dirt road just as it was getting light and I heard something move in some scrub along the road. I moved to where the scrub was back lit and saw him stand up with about five others.

                    Looks like the bullet was yawing as it exited very similar profile I got after shooting through jugs of water.

                    How far did the hog go after being hit by the 100 grain FMJ 6.5 bullet?

                      Probably less than 40 yards and he wasn't moving fast.
