    My Grendel and friend.....

My 20" Grendel shares a Bushmaster XM-15 lower with my 18" 450BM, at least, until I find another lower I like.
The Grendel is wearing a 4-16x50 Vortex PST.
The 450 is wearing a 1-4x24 Vortex Crossfire II. There's not much need to have any more than that on the 450 because it is mostly a 200-250 yd gun.

Nice pair of firearms. How would you rate the 1-4X24 Crossfire II as far as quality for a hunting purpose rifle? I've been on the cusp of ordering one but could find no one with one to find their thoughts on it. PM sent.

Looks like a good time to me! I've been thinking of building a lightweight Grendel upper with a 16" barrel for packing around since my current 22" is kind of a tank.

And I personally love the 1-4x scopes! My 5.56 wears one and for the purpose (mainly blasting rabbits while walking through the brush, and occasional coyote gun if we're hunting in the thick stuff) it can't be beat IMO.

I really like the Crossfire II. It is a high quality scope at a low price.
The main reason I bought it was that it gets bounced around quite a bit in my truck and on hog hunts, but, has handled it very well.
        I consider the 450BM a 200-250 yd gun, so I didn't need anything more than a 1-4.

Vortex is a quality scope at a decent price. Good glass, rugged, and waterproof, that makes a big difference in Fla. hunting during the rainy season.
I have 3, 1-4x24 crossfire II on my 450 BM, 1-4x24 PST on my 5.56, and 4-16x50 on my 6.5 Grendel.
All have been great scopes in my usage.

I got a couple crossfires and a pst and they are well worth the money for the quality you get out of them.
