If you want to re-size without de-priming, you just remove the de-capping rod.

Didn't know that was possible. I have used all Lee dies to this point and the decap pin is part of the center bulb that flares the case on downstroke. It is not removable on them that I know of.

Leave the expander in, and remove the de-capping pin. I also prefer to polish my expander balls.

One problem I ran into is tapered x39 cases do not work well in the 6.5G mags. I can only load 5. If I put 6 or more they dont feed correctly. These are 10 round ASC mags. I do not have any x39 mags. Are there any good ones available? Maybe I should just make some hunting rounds from the new steel grendel ammo. Ill order some tonight.

I am using Hornady dies. All you have to do is unscrew the expander and the pin comes out.

Ahh the Lee's are not put together the same way, they are a one piece expander and rod. at least on the pistol and 223 sizer and depriming dies I have. The pin is pressed into the rod.

I will make sure to get a different die set for grendel.

I wonder if the 20 round ASC mags would work? Here's a thread on converting them to work with the Grendel case.
