    Son with short Grendel

My 12 year old used my 24" AA overwatch last year to take two bucks, but that is a big, heavy gun for him. This past summer I picked up a 14.5 Sabre Defense upper and had a WCI comp pinned on it. We call it the "short Grendel" and the 24" is the "big Grendel".
Yesterday afternoon I dropped him off at his stand about 3pm, then walked to my stand about 500 yds away, about 5pm I heard him shoot once.
He had watched three does cross a small field about 80 yds before stopping right in front of him at 30yds, the shot was quartering away, the 123 SST factory load took out the heart and the deer kinda fell about 10yds, looked like somebody cleaned a paint brush. He was happy because this was the first deer he has took without me right beside him.
    The picture sucks.

Awesome work. You trained him well.
"Bugout bag?..What's that? Is that all the junk you sidewalk commandos plan on humping when the SHTF? I'll grab a Nylon 66, a box of 22s and a poncho liner and in less than a week I will have all of your stuff and everything else that I need for the duration."

            Congrats on a great hunt.

I'm think of doing a similar build. Would love to see some pics of your short Grendel.

Well we just so happen to have a Group Buy here for 11.5 or 12.5" barrels If you dont want to go the SBR route than get the Sig Brace and make it a pistol...lol
12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
                  Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

Great job. Looks like it might have a little piebald phase to it.
