    Two Coons, One Shot

Finally a report from THIS BUILD

No. 1 son saw 2 'coons wandering up to the feeder in West Texas and scaring off the deer.
Lined them up and ONE shot from a 123gr SST dispatched the two varmints:

Scaring off the deer? Either you have mighty frightening coons or really chicken deer, LOL.

      Either way, doubles are fun!

Always best to save bullets in a rough economy. Nice shooting.
"Bugout bag?..What's that? Is that all the junk you sidewalk commandos plan on humping when the SHTF? I'll grab a Nylon 66, a box of 22s and a poncho liner and in less than a week I will have all of your stuff and everything else that I need for the duration."

Nice shooting. Caught two coons in my feeder last year. Got one and the other escaped.

Don't know about the coons or deer out there (some where in West TX), but around here most all the deer caught on a trail cam have coons in them as well.

Just got this text this morning from #1 son:

105 yards. Both lungs. Went 50 yards. Quarter size exit wound. Broke one rib on entrance and 3 upon exit.
                  Hit where I was aiming.
                  Best gun ever.

I guess this one wasn't afraid of the coons....but should have feared the Grendel

What kind of butt stock is that? Looks like a lighter version of the PRS.

                              I approve of this thread....

Great memories for the family, and that fire stick looks like it's very well-balanced. Nice choice of components to round out a great little rifle.
