Let's see if we can do this...

OK, here's the history. I bought a Stag Model 3 a few years ago to get started with AR's. Last year during the post Sandy Hook scare, I bought a couple lowers and built a 5.56 using a Daniel Defense 18" barrel. It shoots pretty good, but I always like things a little bit different and started studying the Grendel.

Here's what I came up with:

Shilen 20" barrel and bolt (figured to spend the money where it mattered)

The rest was kinda low to mid budget stuff:

LRB upper and lower receivers (recommended in Guns and Ammo)
    CMMG LPK
    Ergo grip
    Magpul MOE stock
    Troy Alpha 15" free float
    Timney trigger
    Non-adjustable rifle length gas system

Some of this stuff was mixed and matched from the previous two.

It took a little work on the reloads , but I managed to get some groups (don't judge me on the 3 shot groups. These were just to start getting a feel for things)IMGP0007.jpg

That's a Burris 3-9X Fullfield II in a Burris PEPR QD mount. I've got some better glass, but I haven't taken one off of the deer rifles yet.

Those are some nice groups even for three shots. I like the looks of the MOE stock, how do you like it?

I don't have any complaints, it's good and solid. And yes, I think it's a good look for a fixed stock.
