For a 6.5 grendel build does a standard rifle buffer/spring combo work or do you need to run something that is heavier or lighter?

It really depends on your gas system length and gas port diameter, but an AR15 rifle buffer and spring are one of the better options when looking at reliability across a wide range of rifle and carbine configurations.
I've seen the rifle buffer/spring combo in a rifle extension tube work reliably on:
* 24" RLGS
* 20" RLGS
* 18" MLGS with too large of port, but an adjustable gas block choked almost all the way closedNRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO
