Hello everyone,
I've been lurking for a few weeks trying to learn more about the 6.5 Grendel cartridge and was sent here by a few guys at my gun club that are members here as well. I've been planning to build an AR for a while now but just could never talk myself into spending the money on a gun that shot 2.23/5.56... I started looking around at other cartridges and came to the conclusion that the Grendel is the best bang for your buck in an AR platform. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, so I'll probably be asking for lots of help. I'm semi-knowledgeable about guns, load my own for 9mm and 300 Win Mag currently, and own quite a few rifles and shotguns and pistols, but have very little experience with AR type guns so any helpful hints or guides you can point me to would be much appreciated. I've already learned a lot just lurking, and look forward to learning more and hopefully being able to contribute a little eventually.
My favorite gun to shoot that I have right now is my .17 HMR because the bullet always goes where I'm pointing it.. That's my goal with the Grendel, and plan on hopefully having it built in time for deer season this fall.
