I cronographed two loads tonight with 8208 and 120 SMKs. 27.6g 2440 fps and 27.9g 2465fps. This is out a Shilen 20" barrel.
Brass and primers look good. Any thoughts?

That sounds about right in terms of barrel length and velocity. Try 28 and a few at 28 1/2. Maybe your bolt won't have issues with it. I still think that the CFE that LR52 talks about is a better bet.
My big issue was I loaded 100 at 27.9 and was wondering should I pull them. I know better than to load that much without using my chrono, but I failed again. It's that inner voice.

Given what you have stated, I would not hesitate to shoot them unless the temp was over about 90.
BTW, I did download some 123 Sierras I had loaded with 29 grains of 8208 before we had much info on the powder. Just pulled them and replaced them with some 95 grain bullets. May even shoot them today.
