One of the things that seems to elude us, is a bullet and a powder that just works in everyones gun. Since I am a High Power competitor, IPaul Peloquin

Somewhere around 30.8gr duplicates the factory 123gr A-MAX speed for at least one of the lots I chrono'd the same day I shot out to 1200yds the first time.
30.8gr is pretty low for CFE, with about a grain away from max under a 123gr.
Factory A-MAX does 2460fps for me from a 16" AA barrel I installed in my first Grendel build. 31.2gr gives me 2500fps, and the pressures are still under 47,000psi at that point.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

Then shoot using both at the same time and record the readings. It would be interesting to know how one compares to the other with the exact same rifle measuring the same shot. You might also shoot with and without the Magnetospeed attached and record the POI difference. I get as much as a 3" shift in POI - and depending on the rifle and load, I think it could be shifted in any direction. The Magnetospeed DEFINITELY affects the point of impact, even if it doesn't affect the group size. Although lighting/weather conditions don't have any effect on the Magnetospeed readings, I don't feel quit confident to use it for my OCW load workup, and I sure can't use it for final load development AND rifle sight-in. Once I establish my optimum load, I can't use the Magnetospeed for final sight-in.
That's why I am excited to see the release of the Labradar ( http://www.mylabradar.com/ ) if it is reliable - no weather and lighting worries (old style chrono) and no shift in POI (Magnetospeed).

So it took me a little longer sorry!
To refresh, loaded up 20 once fired Hornady cases with 123 Amax and 29.1 gr AA2520.
10 with CCI 450 and 10 with TULAMMO primers.
I fired 5 CCI 450 and 5 TULAMMO through both chronographs at the same time. (As requested by Savage Shooter)
Here are the results.
TULAMMO primers. CHRONO 2653,2686,2682,2688,2665
MAGNETO 2568,2592,2600,2605,2573
CCI 450 primers. CHRONO 2661,2685,2694,2698,2722
MAGNETO 2573,2598,2612,2619,2627
TULAMMO primers. CHRONO only. 2647,2661,2636,2661,2665
CCI 450 primers. CHRONO only. 2679,2700,2660,2675,2699
It was a fun exercise.
I think the TULAMMO primers did better. BTW The speed on the Hornady Match advertised speed is 2580.
I also shot CFE for the first time today. I will post some results on that other thread.

I am sure you noticed the Chrono velocities were much higher than the Magnetospeed....
But overall the velocities were pretty similar to the published number on Hornady 's box

Ok. Just to wrap this up. Shot again today. 5 shots at 100 and 5 at 200yds. Only put the chrono on the 100.
Lapua brass. 29.1 gr AA2520. Tulammo primers. 123 Amax.
This load definitely shoots well out of my gun. I still believe my Chrono is showing higher than actual velocities but it still works fine for me as long as I compare " apples to apples".
This may be my new "300 yd F Class" load!
I do believe the Tulammo primers made a difference.
The SD and ES were not great but the targets were not bad.
