I have been unable to find any CFE223 online. Anyone know where some is available? Does placing some on back order make sense or just wait till it shows up?

I got 5 x 1 lbs from Midsouth Shooter Supply about 2 months ago. In my experience, they are usually cheaper than Midway, and only a bit higher than PowderValley. But the good thing is that they will allow you to put things on back order and even combine various back orders so shipping and mazmat fees won't eat your budget if you combine orders and ship several pounds at once. It does take a while to get things in, though - my CFE223 was on back order for about 6 months.
If you "wait till things show up", you might have 30 seconds to get an order in for hard to find components or ammo before they are sold out again. For example, I have lost on opportunities to buy .22 long rifle at Midway when I couldn't order from my phone in less than a minute because of a slow browser. So, I'd say that if you can order enough to justify the hazmat and shipping fees on top of the powder cost, then put some on back order if your favorite site(s) will allow it. Otherwise, you might have to hang around your LGS and see if/when they get any in. Where are you located? I know of a few places that have it in stock lately locally. Not sure if I could buy some for you and personally ship it or I would need a special shipping account or something for the hazmat shipping?Comment

I'm on Long Island, NY. Not many local gun stores but I'll check and see whats available. I will see if I can back order 10 lbs and sell a few when I get them to try and keep the price down. I'm looking at $50 for hazmat and shipping.
