Good points on shot placement, especially if quartering away (or towards). I am taking my sons on a hog hunt in a month and we have discussed shot placement, but I'll reinforce envisioning the bullet PATH going through the vital area when choosing the aim point. We are reasonably accomplished long range prairie dog shooters, but since point of impact is basically the same thing as bullet path on a soft 3-4" thick target, especially with an explosive Vmax bullet, we have not been concerned with bullet path to reach vitals or break shoulders.

And if I don't get my TSX or TTSX loads worked up in time, I feel better about using the SSTs, especially since I know my AA will shoot sub-MOA with them.
My "6.5" = 24" AA Overwatch upper 1/9 twist, NC based US Tactical lower, standard A4 6 position stock, AR Gold Trigger, JPS SCS buffer, Vortex 6-24 x 50 FFP PST with EBR-2C MOA reticle
