I am in love. If I ever build a long-barreled Grendel it'll look something like this. VERY nice. What ammo load were you using in the video?

Thanks very much. That's factory Hornady match 123gr A-Max. I have all the stuff for reloading Grendel, but that ammo shoots so nice, I haven't ever loaded a round and just bought 400 more rounds

Obviously, you've done your homework, very nice. Must be a pleasure to shoot, well done.

Very nice. What tripod is that?

Did you get your barrel from MidwayUSA?
Also, what is the twist on your barrel and is its actually 6.5G or .264LBC?

Correct. It's a Manfrotto 55 series with a 322RC2 grip action ball head and a hog saddle.

Yes, it's stamped 6.5 Grendel, it's 1:8.75" twist, and I got it from Midway.

Hah, not really, it's got a different upper, a different lower, a different rail, a different bipod, and a different scope from what it started with. But yeah, it's always been an absolute joy.

The only thing that could make that better is the GG&G GS-1 20MOA riser/scout rail I've got collecting dust in my basement.

Seriously, though, I'm in the process of building something similar right now. Good stuff.

Yeah I went with the riser I used because it was long enough to bridge the receiver and forearm rails for a long distance and increase the stiffness of the whole chassis. I wanted to reduce flex as much as possible to run the bipod far out front to reduce the travel of the muzzle when I interfered with the butt. I've got 10MOA in the mount I have, and the TRMR2 reticle has something like 30 mils of holdover scale when you zoom it out, so holdover isn't really an issue.

Very nice stick! I love the looks! I also like your choice of can (biased of course-- I run the same can on the older 18 tooth mount).

Have you fired any groups from that tripod? I've never used a tripod like that with an accuracy rig, and I'm curious how well it performs/ease of use wise.
