    Grendel from an AK magazine?

Rock River is making the LAR 47 - an AR type lower that uses AK magazines.
Rock River Arms, Inc. offers a complete line of American made, custom built AR15 style rifles.

I wondering if the grendel will feed from an AK magazine. If it would, matching the LAR 47 lower to a Grendel upper may solve magazine issues. Both availability and cost.

Has any one tried a Grendel in an AK platform?

The AK magazine has too much curve. You might be able to load & feed a few from one.

There there are a couple of threads on Grendel chambered AKs being developed. It remains to be seen if they actually hit the market.

For fire forming 7.62x39 brass the 7.62x39 AR mags work great. The bananna curved AR mag doesn't work well with Grendel rounds. Don't know about AK mags in a Grendelized AK, but I imagine the problem would be he same.
