Really?!?! Have you not been to the VA or DR lately. If you've been to either then you've been asked if you own guns. Data sourcing is nothing new. Google has been doing this for a long time now. They've been moving in this direction (gun data) for a while now. Paying Microsoft to collect this information is cheaper, much more efficient, and "legal" as compared to a government database. This isn't as far fetch as the government monitoring all of our phone calls and we have come to find out that the NSA has been doing just that.
