H.R. 367 is moving a little at least. There seems to be more support this time around and there are far to many honest reasons this should pass. Just google "hearing protection act" tho you will only need to type "hear" for it to come up in the suggestion column...

It has moved to sub committee on "Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations" In previous years it never got out of subcommittee. Think this is how bills legislators do not want to be seen opposing get sidetracked into eternal deliberation.
If you have not called in a while, now may be the time to ask what your rep is doing to move this bill toward the president's desk.

I disagree with any and all "gun laws" that are considered "common sense" or not.
Murder is already illegal, and more people died from clubs, drinking, cars and personal heath issues individually than died from firearms. I consider it, not only an infringement upon our rights that they have done these things, but an attack upon the people. I would consider the "counter attack" to be a nullification of the laws, and the firing and arresting of all those who hold these illegal infringements upon our human rights, to be well justified.

What do yall think of the SHUSH Act instead of HPA? The basic idea is to de-regulate cans to the level of accessories - like muzzle brakes etc.
I think this is absolutely the way to go. Cans ARE accessories. That's how other countries (typically with much tighter gun regs in general) treat silencers. It's high time we did as well. We tend to be more open towards guns in general, as a society. So it makes simple sense that we should embrace suppressors more. This contradiction needs to be corrected.
We all need to push for SHUSH Act and any form of de-regulating or dismantling NFA. Do not simply reach out to Republicans. Send emails, letters, and CALL opposing Dems! Their offices need to hear the public outcry as well. Lord knows they are hearing from uninformed idiots freaking out about what MSNBC told them the NRA is supposedly doing. Ugh fools... It's like some people want to be misled.

I think it would be good to E Mail our congressmen in support of both...our governments regulatory process functions a lot like sausage making. You get what you get..it's never great, but its better then doing without.
