Hey, guys, here's my latest progress on my build using one of my Monster 16 barrels and my favorite color scheme: Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and black.
Barrel: Monster 16
Gas block: Vltor clamp-on (I notice the screws rub against the inside of the narrow handguard, so could be an accuracy issue)
Upper: Aero no-forward-assist
Lower: Aero M4E1
Trigger: LaRue MBT-2S
Pistol grip: LaRue A-PEG (love the fit!)
Buttstock: Magpul ACS
Handguard: Aero Precision ATLAS S-One 12"
Optics mount: Leapers UTG Accu-Sync 30mm
NEED
Scope: 30mm tube, 2-7x40. Maybe higher magnification? Budget about $350 max.
Muzzle device: Must be three-prong, cuz tests consistently show this style performs best

Very nice. How well does that scope mount work? I like the looks of it and wonder how high it would be with the scope I want to use.

Dead Air three prong muzzle devices seem to be popular, and the have engineered them to not have the tuning fork effect of most other three prong devices.

GP42, scope mounts up solid but don't have scope yet and haven't shot it, so it's gonna be kind of a leap of faith.
G10, purpose of build is paper punching and gong ringing under 500 yards.

I have something very similar in mind for a 16" barrel I have laying around. I was going to sell it but it's been sitting for over a year now with no bites. Really like the look of the one you built!

Good looking rifle. I used those same Aero upper and lower on a pistol build that I did. I have been quite impressed with Aero's quality/value, especially the new lower/uppers. In for the range report!
