Any body have any experience with the current model Mini 85? Would the action be worth building on ? They said they hope to have actions only for sale next year.

I got one in 7.62x39 last last year. I wouldnt do it again!
The action is not a real control round feed. It has a regular extractor milled into the bolt and the bolt itself is very sloppy and prone to binding if you dont use your thumb on the back of the bolt to start the round into the chamber. Very disappointing.I like the shape of the stock and the blueing was well done but thats about it. The one I got has a lousy barrel on it. It happens. I cut a couple of inches off the barrel in hopes of changing the accuracy and it didnt help much, if any. Im on the fence about what to do with it now. I originally got to eventually switch it over to a Grendel also but the action is so sloppy, Im sure its even worth it. And I Dont want spend 5,6, $700+ to rebarrel it and have a shined up turd. With handloads and 150 grn .311 bullets I can squeak maybe 3 moa out of it, lighter .308 and .310 bullets are pathetic, 4-5 moa. Russian steel is 5-6 MOA at best.
IMO,
you would be better off getting a Howa and do the B&C stock and bottom metal/floor plate internal mag conversion instead.Im assuming the CZ with the DBM is a no go for you? I really like mine, its head and shoulder above the Zastava, in almost every way.

Yes, I know! I guess should have been more clear, direct.
IMO, you should look for another platform to upgrade!
