Thanks for the add. I've heard about the grendel for a few years now and finally was able to get my hands on a cartridge and look one over. You look at that little case and I can't believe what you are able to do with it. It really has me intrigued. Sounds like it would be a great little truck gun type critter getter. Unfortunately I live in ny so an AR is outta the question so I don't have to deal with that mess of laws and I primarily hunt deer in a shotgun only county so deer isn't the main concern. A nice bolt action would fit the bill. I dont want a ruger american with ar mags. Bad experience with a 350 feeding. Cz isn't making the 527 anymore from the looks so the howa mini action would be about my only choice? I held one the other day I. 7.62x39 with the 20" barrel. I really liked it. Might be my next rifle purchase.

Welcome to the clan, P0, from the great nation of Texas! You might be among a surprising number of unprosecuted felons there in following your dreams. Go for the Howa, it's a great gun. But, don't sell the Rugers short. One of mine does sub 1/4" groups with factory stuff, no issues.

Don't get me wrong this 350 legend Is the 3rd rap Ive owned I know they shoot. Just kinda want to stay away from the raps with the ar mags and the feeding issues
