I started this build a few months ago. I got a lot of help from 6.5G forum members. Thank you. I'm re-posting my thread and progress on my rifle.

My barrel was purchased from Brownell's and is a medium contour Satern/Liberty 5R mid-gas 18" .136 sami spec. The rest of the rifle consists of a collection of parts.

Upper:
?Purchased from Karri's Guns. I've seen the same receiver mark on colts. It has a square above the forward assist. IDK, it was cheap. I lapped it by hand without a drill in a vise held vertically and leveled.

Second trip out to the local indoor range and finished up messing around with 17 round group at 50 yards. Two fliers. Boxes are 1"x1", I checked. I can do better but I'll wait until next time. I should get outside to shoot this Saturday. Can't wait, finally shooting outside. Going to be focusing on drills with friends but I've got one last box of Hornady 123 ELDs left to see how it shoots. Weather is looking great, I'll update then.
