Been wanting a Grendel for years, just never pulled the trigger on a purchase.

Last month I purchased a 6.5 Grendel Upper, to put on my 7.62 AR Mutant. Unfortunately, the bolt was defected and I had to send back to Bear Creek. Could be a month before they send me a replacement. It is a 20" stainless. But I also bought 500 rounds of ammo and hate having ammo and no gun, so on Monday got a great deal on this little Howa. Haven't shot it yet, but am eager. I couldn't find it local, so I ordered a 20MOA rail and 30mm rings. They arrive on Friday. I want to plink steel's between 500-1,000 yards.

At my Range (5k feet elevation), the Hornady 123g Match Ammo is still running at 1,175 fps at 1,000 yards, which is supersonic.

Welcome, I took a similar approach. 16 inch BCA nitride upper to mount on an existing lower, shared with a 6.8.

Also bought a Howa because CZ 527 rifles are now unobtanium for realistic prices.
