Klem, Heres a follow up report on my shooting ventures. My groups now are around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch moa at 100 yds.(1-3 inches before). I know this is lengthy, but bear with me. Why my groups tightened. 1) setup a good platform and rests. No more of the crosshairs wavering and a lot of circling. I was shooting off of a tripod before. 2) my gas block and gas tube were loose- poor pinning on my part. 3) Rotating guns at the range. 5-10 minutes or more between 3 shot groups. I wear a patch over my left eye and it helps with blur. 4) I stopped repeatingly cleaning the guns. 5) Right ammunition. Cant say enough about this. For the Grendel, federal fusion and Hornady black eld-m. 223 federal premium gold metal 77 gr. Atomic 77 gr., Hornady super performance 75gr. Again these were in the 223. 6) lapped the receivers. I cant say what part in tightening the groups this played. I bought a lapping tool, so I did it. 7) some times I shoot better.
