Hey Guys,
I made an odd find while googling my dad's name (Chester Woo). A hit came up in ebay; a Remington ad from 1938. I had never seen it before and was extremely excited to find it and purchased it immediately. My dad spent his entire life in L.A. except for College, fighting in WWII on the Hornet (CV-12) and his time in Ohio with the Army Corp of Engineers after he graduated from Cal. I knew he was a good shot but I never knew about his exploits on the firing line (I wasn't born until 1966).
Sorry if I'm boring you all. I was just so excited to find this and needed to share.

Sadly, my dad sold off all his guns before I was born...boohoo:mad: He taught me how to shoot on an Ithacagun .22 single shot lever-action which he bought at a Big5 in the 70s. I can still remember those range sessions. They had a 5lb. coffee can full of loose cotton at the desk to stuff in your ears for earpro...no eyepro required.
Precious memories, too many family memories are lost to ignorance or neglect. I know because my father hated anything old, so all of my families exploits and heirlooms where destroyed and discarded even valuable antiques! Like someone said above, hang onto that paper and the rifle if you still have it. Someday, your son or grandson will cherish them.
