[SIZE="4"] **Updated**[/SIZE] with video of a couple hits. Shots 3 and 5 were both hits
I wasn't sure if this little cartridge could do it, but it made it!! Not terribly consistent, but 3 of the 4 hits were in 8 shots. Took me a while to get dialed in, the ground was wet and made calls hard to make.
6.5 Grendel with 123gr Amax going 2500 fps
81 minutes of drop from my 1000 yard zero, or close to 116 minutes from a 100 yard zero
I got some video, but it was impossible to call hits from sight. The ground was wet enough we couldn't see the splash. I had taped a radio to the back of the gong again, and that's how we were able to call them before driving down. We had no idea where they were hitting, but I didn't really care. I was just thrilled to hit the dang thing! 24"x24" gong

Great shooting, that bullet must handle the transition to subsonic very well.

You're definitely pushing the envelope with this. I need to film some ELR with the 16" gun some time.

Thanks guys! I was pretty sure I'd get at least one or two hits due to the shear amount of ammunition I took out (100 rounds). I believe I fired a total of 30 rounds at it. My first hit was on #13, after which we drove out to confirm. After getting back, it took me another 5-6 rounds to get back on target, and after that is when I made 3 hits in 8 rounds. Once I was on, most of my misses still looked to be within a foot or so of the target.
One of the "duh" moments that hit me afterwards is I completely forgot to tie a windage flag on it! There was a remnant from previous shoots that was about 1' long, and I never even noticed it while shooting. I'll usually tie a 4' long piece of trail marking ribbon to the cross-beam on the rebar. Good thing there was hardly a breeze that day!

Also LRRPF52, the Long Range Shooters of Utah is doing another one of their Milk Jug Challenges on August 1st if you'd be interested in coming and checking it out. This one will be for 1 mile, and will be just outside of Tooele
After doing this the other day, I registered and took the last spot, but it's still fun to attend these shoots. It looks like (once again) I'll be the littlest cartridge there! And only semi-auto.
