Given that they are talking about starting on the parking lot this year and then work on a wing to expand manufacturing, I don't think they will be scaling up terribly fast. Depending on how much they are expanding and what it is going to take to get it operational, it could easily be 6-12 months before we might see new production from it, keeping in mind that there are all sorts of building materials shortages and labor shortages at this time.

I wonder if they have already placed orders for the equipment. It is a while since I worked in manufacturing, but it was not uncommon to wait two years for new assembly equipment.

I think the real numbers on Russian Ammo being imported is 5%, not 40%.

And the places that have the import licenses and permits are able to get Russian ammo until their permits expire.

So, it ought to be a good year or two before all Russian ammo is no longer available. Which gives their competitors time to ramp up production.

Yeah, the 40% is actually of all imported ammo, not total ammo.

Hornady ramping up production is great news. It's a good time to be in the ammunition business. And, it doesn't look like the demand is going down any time soon. I got into the Grendel at the wrong time. The ammo feeding frenzy was already in full force when I became a member of the Horde.
