Welcome aboard! All I can say is verify that your upper has a squared receiver face before installing the barrel.
Make sure cartridges can seat in the chamber without jamming the lands.
Do an accuracy build list on it with bedding the barrel. There are plenty of threads on that if you search. Custom Search Engine is in Announcements.
I dont recommend any of the cheap entry-level scopes for a gas gun. They tend to break, experience turret lag and lash with recoil, gears sticking, reticles cranking sideways, etc.
What will you be intending the rifle for? That will help with optics selection.

Thanks for the kind welcomes! Update: I've been doing some research and have ordered an optic. Hopefully I don't get roasted for it, but I've seen a lot of great things about it. It's an Arken 4-16x50.
