Guys I’ve lurked here for quite a while and finally decided I may as well join. I’ve built 5 or 6 Grendel’s
now for myself and friends. To say we like the G is an understatement. We use it mostly for depredation
With night vision on deer and hogs and as a low recoil option in a highly adjustable configuration for young kids to
deer and hog hunt with. It is very well suited to both tasks. I’ve been loading shotgun, pistol, and rifle ammunition for over 30
years and hunting for 47. I’m actually an NSCA Level Two Sporting Clays instructor and have been teaching for 12 years. I also teach some rifle and pistol classes as well. Much of what I’ve done with load development in the Grendel has come from
this sight and I certainly appreciate the knowledge. I still think it’s the most versatile cartridge in the AR 15 Platform.
I’ve found the Grendel to be accurate, well behaved, easy to shoot and a cartridge that really punches way above its weight. I don’t chase speed. Im looking for tack driving accuracy and consistency.

Welcome aboard. I agree wholeheartedly from a practical standpoint.

It’s like a modern 6.5x54 M-S, .30-30, or 250 Savage performance that fits inside the much shorter COL of the standard AR-15 receiver set, with 3-4 different components (barrel, bolt, mags, muzzle device).

Very easy to shoot and gain immediate target feedback from, as opposed to many other cartridges that rob you of feedback due to recoil/muzzle blast.
