In my 6mmar it hit 3000fps with 2000-mp and close with cfe using sierra 95 tmks.
It was too hot for my 22 inch Krieger AR so I went with xbr or h-4895 for a more temp stable powder.
Accuracy is half moa.
The best coyote load has been using xbr and 75 grain v-max's.
It bugholes with that combination.
I have to try the 90 grain eld.
I get half moa with the 108 eld but been using the 75 v-max since it faster and exceeding accurate.
I'd like to get a howa bolt gun in 65grendel and cut to 16inches for suppressed deer hunting and use the 6mmar for coyote and long range target shooting.
I think you can reach 3000fps with 2000-mr and CFE using the 90 grain eld in a bolt gun using a chronograph and watching for a unusual jump in velocity and then back up a little.
My barrel shoots best at around half grain under max.
Forgot to add I neck turn my lapua brass and I shoot the sierra 95 grain tmk and use the 75 grain v-max's above xbr 8208 for a coyote load.
The v-max bugholes and the tmk shoots half inch from my 22 inch Krieger in an AR.
If I wanted too get a 6 grendel barrel made up. Can I take my Redding bushing size die and just change out the bushing to the proper size bushing and do a simple neck down and fire form to 6 grendel.
Never have done this before but was hoping it would be that simple and allow me too use already owned dies and brass.
I use a 6mm ppc die sizing down to 6mm then use the Redding 65grendel bushing die from there on.
I back the ppc die off around 75 thou and set it when it will chamber by dropping the bolt down with the upper in the vertical position.
Using the bushing die first leaves a flare at the top of the necks and doesn't seem to work as well with the ppc full length die.
I use a redding bushing die all the way, but do it in several steps. The only way I've found to eliminate the flare on the initial neck down is to go in steps, with the second to last bushing being about .273, then using a .268 or .267 (can't remember which, but whatever you decide on) for the final.

Yes. I do the sizing down in one step with lots of RCBS Case Lube 2 applied liberally inside and outside of the neck with a cotton swab.

I size 6.8mm cases to 6.5mm with a .285 bushing and then a .267 bushing to get to 6mm. I did about 20 cases and all were good.
And then, final in-letting with the Pac-Nor barrel that my GS chambered in 6G and fitted into the action (trued) including the DIP bottom metal, mag release, ... He is going to sand blast the barrel only and keep the rest the same (at my request). I also decided against nitrite for any part of the rifle. I like the SS barrel against the black action and bottom metal. The pillars are also in. And the action will be glassed shortly. I will be doing all the final shaping and finishing of the stock (a man has to gloat about something he has done ).
Wearing a thin coat of TruOil to protect the wood. The action will be CeraKoted. The barrel and scope rings glass bead bead blasted, the rest untouched. Supposed to receive it next week

No. Just go to their website, Select "Boyds" in the "Choose Makes" drop down and "uninlet" for the other two. Click "GO", and you see a listing of all their stock shapes in all colors and other options.
Their new At-One thumbhole looks good. Wish it was there when I ordered. I understand it was sent to DIP to be tested with their "bottom metal" for the mini.
Well, the finished rifle shipped yesterday. As soon as I have it, I will take and post pics of the almost final (I am still going to shape the stock some) rifle.
Since most of you like CFE223 and are getting great Vel, low pressure, and tiny groups I decided to get some which arrived today. Now just waiting for the rifle
Still waiting for my Possum Hollow bore guide - two weeks and counting. It is supposed to have shipped out today. Once I have it, barrel break-in begins :-) If I ever get over this nasty cold :-(
