Anyone on here know if Hornady 7.62x39 requires large or small primers? I’ve been trying to find some small primer 7.62x39 brass but have had no luck. Thanks

I bet the answer is in the hornady load manual. Or their website. Guessing the only brass mfg with a small primer would be lapua. But I have not looked.

Remington used to make small rifle primer 7.62x39 brass.

I think there was some IMI SRP brass too, but someone else will have to recall.

What's your reasoning for looking for 7.62x39 brass OP?
NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

I emailed Hornady and they confirmed it is small primer. Really just curious to see what the results would be on large primer vs small in my 7.62x39 also could use the brass for my Grendel in a pinch and would prefer small primer
