The bolt has zero to do with accuracy.

Unfortunately no.

A matching bolt means you can have confidence the bolt has been used to machine the chamber to SAAMI. The barrel is no more or less accurate with different bolts.

Thanks for your help. I was told by a custom barrel seller that buying the barrel and bolt together would improve accuracy indeed.

Step 1: Take barrel out of inventory bin.
Step 2: Take bolt out of inventory bin.
Step 3: Place bolt and barrel into box.
Step 4: Attach "Matched Set" sticker to box.

No I haven't dealt with them personally. I tend to only spend my money with company's that have been in the grendel game for years.

Exactly...It just means they've checked the bolt and barrel with Go, No-Go gauges.

They claim "Guaranteed Sub MOA (1"@ 100yds)" not 1/2 MOA. That bit was a claimed result from a web reviewer.
Good on them for having a standard and a guarantee though.

I guess I would add, from my own kind of limited but -been-through-a-few-barrels, if you want <1 moa buy at least a lilja.
Krieger or bartlein also come to mind but my Lilja is my own standard.

I appreciate all the information. My biggest concern over money is the waiting time it takes to get the best barrels. 3-4 months even longer to get one. Just saying.

Call Paul at Craddock Precision and get a Bartlien custom for $575 delivered. I got my first Bartlien barrel in 6.5 Grendel. Best barrel I’ve ever owned. No break in required ,sub MOA from sight in. I get sub half inch groups with that rifle. From now on that’s the only brand rifle barrel I’ll own.

I second Marks barrels. But don't email him, call him direct and ask what he has ready for sale are ready for finish.
