Could someone please measure and confirm to me the muzzle tip diameter for the 6.5 grendel howa's 22" standard barrel?
Looking at options for a howa that I can find and use...
I'm guessing somewhere between 0.585 and 0.630 but don't know...
Also the diameters at 21" and 20" length. If I need to have my gs trim and thread for a brake...

i have the 20" lightweight and 22" and they look identical in taper but 2" cut off the 22" to make the 20", i'll get some measures of each for you so you can gauge. note, there is 4 oz difference between the two barreled actions (2 oz per inch in this case), i just took a tape measure of both and they appear to have exactly same diameter, i can't see a difference, it's just over the 1/2" and just before the 5/16" line...hope that helps

I know some "std" barrels are ~0.585 at the tip for a 22", so this is close to that.
Thinner than I thought but there's not many to find, so I'll be doing what I can with what I can get.

Gray. Have you checked out the cz grendel? If I remember correctly they have the suppressor ready option on the market with a 16 inch barrel. Not sure if they have a 20 or 22 inch barrel option.

All of mine have been perfect. Not a single issue, some are for howa's and my grendel is for a cz.
Received it today, put it into its B&C stock. I like it.
Overall it's 8.1 lb scope and all.
Using an outerimpact rail, PA 4-14x44 and Dip bottom metal.
Feeds smoothly, overall good.

i had no issue with the BC sporter. because i'm ocd i used some brownells accuglass gel anyway LOL.

i don't recall off the top of my head what the weight is of mine. i think it was right around 7.5 lbs. i used a Leupold AR Patrol or some catchy name like that for a 30mm tube 3x9x40. and a EGW 20moa rail. i think 20 moa. might have been 30 or 40. i think they make all three. don't recall right now. i used the Jefferson Outdoors bottom metal. turned out like i wish Legacy Sports would have sold in the first place. oh well. enjoy yours. i really like mine. over the coming holiday break i plan to get to the range a bit and test out some more loads.
Yes, this is the M40 style. It is a nice heft and feel, I was a little worried that it would be too heavy - like my savage stock in weight but they've contoured it to match the trimness of the mini howa. Nice.
The outerimpact rail is a tad lower in height than Egw, I have both, 0 moa's each.
Picked up the Dip and some extra mags online here from usmcma2, 5 rounders and some modified, 4-rounders. So it all went together great.
By the way Howa has redesigned its mag release, it's in the same spot but much smaller and not as easy to hit accidentally. But the Dip I've got has it all together anyway so if I want I could change out to the Howa release...
I torqued the bottom to 35 in-pds for now, and test fed some 90 gr Tnt's federal, and 123 sst's factory. Everything fed just fine.

sounds like you're good to go. enjoy. i went with the 22" tube too for the same reason. to eek out as much MV as possible with the Howa mini. and that meant the 22" tube. another side advantage for me is that there's less muzzle blast to damage my hearing with a longer tube. I sure wish NFA could be amended to make noise suppressors a non-ATF item, but, it brings in $ for the gov. and they're greedy and want all the $ from everyone, so i doubt it will ever change.

Thanks bru! yeah this one is coming along nicely. It's lighter, about 8 lbs, and more compact than most of my others...
The 22" was all anyone had but it still shoots great.
As far as MV it is duplicating some of my loads for my ruger (also 22"), 123 sst handloads for the ruger (2558 ft/s) in the howa they are 2551. Much less worry about whether it will feed ok than the ruger is...
might end up selling the ruger.
