Starting to do research on a new bolt action build. The Grendel is my first choice in caliber anybody no of any reasons this is not a good idea?

Welcome to the forum SHELLBACK40! I don’t think you’ll get many here with dissenting opinion. I have a Cz 527 American but Cz is discontinuing the 527’s. Howa and Ruger still offer factory bolt action 6.5 Grendel.

Welcome!!! Not a thing wrong with building a bolt gun. That’s exactly what I did and have absolutely no regrets. The Grendel is a very impressive and capable hunting cartridge for such a small case.
