Back to the actual thread - nine months later Hodgdon actually FINALLY published 22 Nosler load data. Ie, someone other than Nosler put their name on something related to the caliber. Must have been a phone call or two from Bend after Federal's announcement.
Most interesting is that they have data for mid to heavies (60 gr and up) with H4350 and IMR4451 and those actually give some of the best velocities. Nosler had no data for those, I never thought of it and although I haven't really looked in few months, no one on the World Wide Web had talked about it. I might give it one last try since I have both powders. Slower powder actually makes sense. Maybe, just maybe the slower powders change timing enough to relieve stress on the case head.....
But interestingly, they have data for 90 gr SMKs at a COAL of 2.42 with max velocities around 2750 from a 24". Obviously would require single feeding, but the 22 Nosler case at that length is going to have a lot more capacity than 224V.......
