You got to love Stage 3 fire restrictions. The federal government basically tells you that you can't be trusted to use YOUR land.

It gets better. When the gubm'nt called for fire restrictions on all federal lands in NM, a couple years ago, they included closure of all BLM sites. Because Albuquerque's Shooting Park is funded under and managed by BLM, that meant it, too, had to close down. This was despite being in the middle of a treeless, barren part of what is known as the West Mesa. Hell, you couldn't start a fire there with a Molotov Cocktail, but that didn't matter.
