It's always best, in my opinion, for a photo to show a specimen in its native habitat.
In this case, the rare FDE Grendel pistol is shown with its even rarer companion, the spotted hoop snake. Together, they are seen exchanging intel on the surrounding indigenous prey species. The hoop snake appears to be indicating distance and direction of the nearest contact.
The photographer has captured a beautiful, seldom witnessed encounter of the two.
