So the factory stock can be broken with some effort, is the Magpul stock that much better built? Handled the RAP 6.5G last week at bud's gun shop and the stock felt ok but doesn't sound like it's as strong as it should be. What is the weight difference of the rifle between the 2 stocks?
Magpul claims 3.3 lbs for the Hunter. I just weighted the RAP..............1.87 lbs! Oh my. Have to say, I’m not thrilled about that. Although I don’t really plan to hunt with either one, picked up a Savage 110 “Lightweight” Storm 6.5 CM that is only 5.7 lbs, so, I guess it’s mostly academic.
