So the Magpul stock weighs about 1.5 pounds more than the factory stock, the RAP is supposed to weigh 6.6 lbs, plus magpul hunter puts it at about 8 lbs, add scope and mount and it would be at almost 10 lbs. Not much lighter than my AR15 grendel (10 lbs with bipod), was hoping to keep it under 9 but I don't like the look of that stock failure.

Well, that Savage at 5.7 lbs was the lightest I could find, without going custom and spending a small fortune. No, it’s not a Grendel but it can shoot the same bullets, at about the same speeds if you desire. Planning on the Nosler 129 ABLR’s and moderate speeds. Just a thought.
