In a bolt gun, I’m still wondering why? When I think I could just shoot the Creedmoor with reduced loads and still come out ahead.

How about "just for fun"? I already have working ARs in 6.5 Grendel and Howa's in 6.5 Grendel. Why not see if I can make it out of a Savage?

Also, I really like it's performance considering the small amount of recoil. For whitetail, I find it ideal (especially for kids). It has more energy downrange than a 30-30 and can shoot heavier pills than a .243. I'm at that stage in life where my youngest is 10 and my oldest isn't too far from making me a grandpa. I want something that kids can shoot and I will also enjoy taking out into the woods. It doesn't make sense for everyone and every situation, but I just "like it".
