KE compared to more populer 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag mostly. Heck even a hot and heavy 30-06. Not saying 6.5 CM and 308 can't do the job, just wondering if some short action exists that could do it better. Wildcat cartridges are all about building a better mousetrap. I posted here more as a general wildcat discussion, not as a grendel wildcat

I just can't shake the feeling that we should be able to get more out of LR-308's nowadays.

Not hearing any counters, got now the SAUM's are the best bet I guess.
