According to this thread they are working on a AICS .223 mag for the hunter stock and other calibers (maybe that means Grendel) but so far it just seems like internet talk.

That seems to be my luck as well.
Are you just dead set against the factory stock/set up?
I hit the range again today and was pretty pleased with how things went with the “modified” AR mags in the factory stock. Probably shot 100+ rounds and only had a few failure to feeds. Seriously, only 2 or 3, maybe 4 at the most. And every time it was trying to feed the first round. I’m going experiment without any “foil tape” on the mags next time.
Of course, given a choice I’d prefer running the Magpul stock but the factory setup may be tolerable after all.
